Keno is a game of pure chance and is very similar to Lotto games. The game was brought to the USA by Chinese immigrants in the 19th century. As with lotto games, it is a dead simple to play, and it is attractive as large prizes are on offer for very small wagers. Keno is played at bars, clubs and community centers all over the world today (I know when I go an play poker at my local club I always run the risk of getting run over by ticket toting Keno players by the hundreds) . Unfortunately it shares another characteristics with lotto games – horrendous odds.
Logically, Keno found its way into online casinos as it was a simple game to develop, and casino operators wanted to capture the huge land based Keno fan base online. What was even more in the favor of online casinos was that many people were used to playing Keno on video terminals, so the move online was less of a hurdle that say with blackjack.
So here is how you play Keno (unless I fall asleep writing this!). You start off by selecting between 4 and 10 numbers from a total of 80 numbers. Each selection is called a “spot”. In many online keno games, you can buy multiple tickets for the same draw, and in some games you can even pre purchase for future games.

Keno is one of those games that you either love or hate. There are also two versions of it-live and video. The live version tends to be very relaxing, but it’s not offered at many casinos. Generally, you’ll find a live Keno lounge tucked away in some corner of casinos that have it.
Whether you’re playing live or video Keno, the game works the same way. It’s actually very simple to play. It works just like the lotto, but with better odds and lower payouts. Be forewarned, the house advantage in Keno is very large. But, it’s one of those games where you could turn $1 into thousands of dollars quickly.

In our last installment of this Keno series, we’ll talk about Keno odds and some other items. Up to this point we’ve talked about some Keno basics, game differentiation and history. Now it’s time to look at the hard facts of Keno.
For starters, the question anyone should have is about winning. Can you actually win money playing Keno? Sure, but it’s not one of those casino games that you’d want to base your whole bankroll around. As I mentioned in part one of this Keno series, Keno is just like the lotto. The odds are a little better, but it’s still a guessing game. There’s no strategy involved.

Today, many online casinos offer keno games that allow you to mark more than ten numbers, which is the maximun amount of numbers allowed in many land based casinos. At our you will be able to find ones that allow it.
Before you learn how to play you must know the following: the game begins you must first purchase a ticket, which is available in many places in every casino, if you can’t find a place to purchase a ticket simply ask around.

For those wanting to have a little fun in between your casino runs, keno can be a good filler. Keno is both a simple and fun game that anyone can easily pick up during lulls. The game also pays back rather handsomely and can be a good addition to your purse.
While keno is quite a popular game to modern day casino goers, it is actually quite old. The origins of keno is rather ancient as an early version of the game was played in China more that two thousand years ago. The game was played and developed well into the modern age where it was then introduced by Chinese immigrants into the West during the early twentieth century. The name “keno”, however is of French origin as the game was further refined into its modern form when it was introduced in that country.
The game is very easy to learn and play and shares similar mechanics to the more popular bingo games, making it easier to understand. Players use cards that are quite similar to bingo cards in layout. In the case of the keno card, the numbers are arranged in eight row of ten each, for a total of 80 numbers. The player then chooses up to twenty numbers and marks them on the card to get their tickets from the booth. For those that are very busy (or very lazy) to get tickets from the booths, there are runners roaming around the casino whom you could give your numbers and have them fill out the cards for you.

If you’re looking for Keno tips that will increase your chances for winning money at this popular casino game, I’m afraid you’re out of luck already. There are no strategies that can help you improve your odds of winning at Keno because all of the numbers are selected randomly so no number is ever more likely to come up than another number. Tips for Keno should, therefore, be limited to such issues as money management. For those interested in the game, however, some of the more popular keno tips may be of interest.
1. The number one rule for gambling, and the most important of all Keno tips is to never gamble with “dear” money; only gamble with “excess” money. In other words, never gamble with money that you will need now, or may need in the near future, to pay for your financial commitments and everyday living expenses.
2. If you want good odds to win more than you wager, the best tip anyone can give you is to play almost any other casino game than Keno. The Keno game offers some of the worst odds in any casino, to the point that the game is virtually guaranteed to be, at best, a slow way to lose all of your money.

Keno
Keno is a lottery, very similar to lotto. In this game there are 1-80 ping-pong balls with specified numbers. Every time the casino draws 20 balls and displays the numbers. The players need to guess the numbers drawn by the casino. Keno is played in Casino lounges specifically allocated for the game, but there are ‘Keno runners’ who collects tickets and deliver the winnings to the player outside the lounge area. There are many display monitors all over the Casino to keep players informed of the winning numbers.
Keno is a Chinese game originated around 2000 years ago; it was brought to USA in 18th Century when the Chinese immigrants came to work in mines and railroads. It is a very popular game as it is very easy to play and one can hit a large return with a small wager.
Players select a minimum of 4 but no more than 10 numbers between 1 and 80. Each selection is called a ‘Spot’, selecting 10 numbers are called 10 Spot game. A player mark the blank Keno tickets with the numbers they select then present it to the desk with the wager and the clerk will give a duplicate ticket. In a few minutes, twenty numbered Keno balls will be drawn at random from a barrel containing 80 numbered balls, and if enough of the player’s selections are drawn, he/she is a winner. Minimum bets can be as low as 5 cents, although some casinos only accept bets of $1 or more. The amount of money one can win depends on the type of ticket and the number of ‘spots’ caught. One can play on multiple tickets. You could win as much as $50,000 on a $1 wager.

Keno is one of those games you either know about or you don’t. It’s basically considered a lotto in the casino. Like the lotto, the game consists of numbers drawn. The object is to pick the numbers that come up. The game of Keno can either be fast or slow depending on the casino. By playing Keno online you can control the pace of the game. There are also keno machines. Personally, I like live keno. You sit in a lounge, if you want, and play. Keno is a game that you don’t have to be present to play and win. For instance, you could put in a ticket for 20 games and then go play something else in the casino.
The game of Keno is pretty simple. In this article, I will go over some of the basics of the game setup and rules. It’s a piece of cake, so let’s get going.

Online keno is similar to lotto and is usually played in online casino halls specifically assigned for the game, but there are so called “Keno runners” who will collect your ticket and deliver the winnings if the player wants to play from outside the lounge area. There are many television monitors spread all over the casino halls to keep players informed of the winning numbers.
But now, online keno is such a diverse game it can be played anywhere, and nowadays it’s also available at online casinos!
A little like a lottery and a little like bingo, is a game of pure luck. If you’re familiar with the state lottery, you have enough knowledge already to play online keno. But, if you don’t know much about either of the 2, this is a good place to start!
